Well Information

HIG has archived well data from numerous sources and conducts current research to obtain well information for our clients.  We conduct well research for single properties and for larger client specified search areas.  

Site specific well information
HIG will conduct a search for information about agency listed/registered wells located on your site.  You may receive either or both of the following:

• Available well records – These may include well registrations, well drilling logs and well sealing/abandonment records for wells which may be located on your site.
  
• Well Location Map – A typical map will depict well locations, as identified by the well information source agency, and use a topographic map or aerial photo as background.  Note: Well Location Maps are provided only when they are available from the source agency.

Custom Well Information Services
We understand that environmental consultants, engineers and natural resources professionals often need to conduct well searches in accordance with agency specified criteria.  We are flexible and will tailor a well search to meet the needs of your project.  Examples of our most popular custom well searches are listed here:

• Well Radius Search – HIG will search for and provide available well records for listed/registered wells in the vicinity of your site and within a specified radius from the boundaries of your site.  We can also search for wells within a client specified geographic area such as a town or a redevelopment zone.
  
• Well Radius Search and Map - HIG will complete the Well Radius Search described above and will create a Well Location Map using a topographic map, aerial photograph or other map of your choice as the base.  The map will show wells plotted by well identification number that have been located by an agency or plotted by HIG using geographic information provided by an agency.  For many clients this product is used as a component of their groundwater receptor surveys.
