Fire Insurance Maps Plus by HIG launched in July 2009!

For over 140 years a variety of fire insurance maps, atlases and similar land use maps have been published for many towns and cities, including many smaller towns that were never mapped by Sanborn.
HIG has created an efficient way to determine what maps are available for your site. More than just Sanborn, the FIM+ Report is a search for maps from numerous publishers and collections.

By popular demand we are including links to a few of the fire insurance map and real estate map keys! Baist 1910, Hopkins 1916, Rascher 1891, Rascher 1892, Robinson 1886, Sanborn 1885, Sanborn 1908, Sanborn 1912 and Sanborn 1952.

The Report is available for all 50 U.S. states!
It is a detailed summary of HIG’s research that lists:

• Fire insurance maps and other similar maps that cover your site; publishers include Sanborn, Rascher, Hopkins, Foote, Robinson and many others.
  
• Access information for on-line map collections that cover your site.
  
• Where to find paper and microfilm map collections that cover your site including collections that may be near your home, office, or site of interest.

Maps provided by HIG are available for: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Ohio is coming soon!
